    I believe that the foundation to making any change starts with getting clarity on what is true today, what you want to be true in the future and then taking action to make it come enjoyably true.

    What that means is

    • all leaders at every level in purpose-led SMEs have the people skills to enable their teams to thrive in a flourishing organisation (yours!).

    You turn

    • your story of high staff turnover, absence, low productivity and missed targets where staff leave, resist or rebel because of a lack of confidence in their leaders and uncertainty about the business direction

    • your new story of a flourishing organisation with high productivity, retention, job satisfaction, staff engagement and a great reputation as a place to work, with a clear purpose

    so that

    • you can stop worrying about the cumulative costs of losing good people and concentrate on creating great opportunties to grow your business

    How did I get here?

    I've had an eclectic career, spanning 40 years of teaching, training, fundraising, writing, research and insight, performance managing - interspersed with a bit of building, cooking and translating and going back to be a student several times in between.

    Those years all involved introducing and making change happen, doing things in new ways, setting up new functions, leading new teams, new business, moving things on. Sometimes smoothly, sometimes with a bumpy ride but always learning and always putting people first.

    Looking back, the common theme to success running through it all has been inspiring people to turn defining moments into action and launching them into the future.

    Clear as a Bell, set up in January 2022, is where I have poured the learning and the love from my experience, adding to it by bringing in the academic research, to share the knowledge in ways that can help you directly.
